A little report about our ball :)

The ball for the first year students was on 21. November 2007. I assumed that everybody among my classmates had known this date but unfortunately not everyone was present. The students, who came, were expected to have that kind of clothes on that suit to the party (be properly dressed as the advertising poster said). The ball was held in the lecture room of the building of ÁOK.

When I arrived and stepped inside the hall I could admire the varieties of ball-gowns. Some girls were wearing princess-like evening dress but you could see that a few girls just put on a corset with formal trousers.
As for me I had a black dress on with silver patterns that almost reached my knees, so it was not too short and not too long. I think it was suitable to move, dance and be worn without any awkwardness and discomfort. There was only one thing that disturbed me: my high-heeled shoes. It was so demanding to dance overnight in them.

Anyway, a big beamer showed every sms that you could send to a telephone number was written on it. So this way anybody had the chance to send messages to anybody. I liked it when I saw a couple of words on the beamer: “Tika, tika, anglisztika”. I thought it was nice. But the loveliest thing of the night was that a compliment for me appeared on the beamer from my boyfriend. :)

The hand-made duck

It was a great pleasure when I got it. I know it is just a figure made from plush material, and cotton. But for me receiving it was a kind of showing her love. I am about my cousin who has always had a handicraft. The object she made was a duck. A yellow, medium size, plush duck. It is not just another thing I can put on my shelves or on top of my chest but a present that I was waiting for for a long time.
It was a nice expectation, I mean I was really curious how a hand-made duck looks like. She created it to be a lifelike one and you can mistake it for one that was produced in a toy factory, due to its well-designed feature.
While she was bringing it into existence she was thinking of me. And this is what I appreciate very much and the other important thing is that she made my duck by her hands.
Till I got the duck, it was always a theme to discuss during our msn conversation. We use the internet to talk to each other because she lives far from my town, Keszthely therefore we could not express our love for each other. We meet rarely and there was no real relationship between us.
But this little object made us to think about each other more often.
