We, human beings, usually think that bad, cruel, unpleasant and terrible things always happen to others, that always others can get into dangerous situations or serious illnesses are always found in the others’ body. I think about the cliché what most people might say: ‘It can’t happen to me.’ But anytime we can become ‘others’.
I chew these things over not because something very bad things have happened to me but a person in the street. Although, it was really shocking for me too.
As a matter of fact, the bus 30 I was travelling on four days ago hit a guy. Before the accident the bus driver applied the brakes but the guy was injured. He was lying on the street and people gathered around him. The bus driver opened the doors of the bus and passengers poured out from the vehicle. They also clustered around the man except me. I just can’t stand this kind of situation I got frightened. I walked to my destination with really bad feelings. But I would like to mention that if it had been only me who can help I would have gone to the man. But as I mentioned there was a crowd around him.
I really hope that he is ok now. I saw blood nowhere and people were whispering that it was his leg that was injured. I don’t know.
Though, my former entry was about a thief and my recent entry describes an accident I don’t think that misfortune follows me or any other person. It is just life what is passing even if it has good or bad features.

Outrageous
Two days ago my flatmate gave me a ring. I picked up my mobile phone and in a minute I was taken aback. She said that our neighbours had asked her whether we saw something strange and unfitting phenomenon to a Monday afternoon. She couldn’t understand what our neighbours meant until they told her the fact. The fact was that one of our neighbours’ room mates, a guy, had packed up their laptops and moved off.
It was so shocking even for me that this guy had stolen his flatmates’ values and as if it had been a simple moving off he just walked out of the building.
After finishing the phone call I started cleaning my room and told myself what a fortune that he hadn’t broken in our flat too. Then I prepared the rubbish to go and throw it into the container in the street and that was the moment when a picture came to my mind. I became excited, confused and my heart started to beat so strong.
‘I saw that guy during committing the theft.’ - I said to myself.
And indeed, I met him that Monday. I was in the staircase when I encountered him. He had just got out of the elevator when I had a look at him. He carried so many bags and luggage that he just hardly was able to move his arms and legs.
I asked myself ‘Is he going home a Monday afternoon instead of Friday?’ but it was just an idea that lasted for a second. In fact, there was something freaky in his glance as if he was embarrassed or frightened. This feeling I felt in relation to him didn’t mean anything then but now.
Now this case made me recognise that how important is a reliable person in people’s lives. I took it for granted that my flatmate, and friend at the same time, is honest and trustworthy. But now I see that it is a thing to be appreciated. And from now I’ll be more suspicious about people and try to select who I put my trust in.

P.S.: I love you
The last time I watched a movie in the cinema it was a disappointment. Disappointment, but not due to the bad quality of the film or the boring script but I had expected something else because of its title. The movie I wrote about is P.S.: I love you.
So I hadn’t searched for the review of the film I had just been waiting for something romantic comedy but it was a drama. The second scene made me realize it. One of the two leading characters, Gerry, died in tumour. It was the main woman character’s, Holly, husband. I was taken aback. It took shape that the movie would be about to show us what happen to a widow after her beloved husband’s death and how she behaves how she can survive it.
First the film applied the well-known situation when one, who lost some close person, uses her/his personal stuffs. Holly literally put on her dead husband clothes, suits and always stays at home singing songs they both knew before. Then the family arrives and tries to point out the meaning of life to save Holly from the loneliness (and the mess in her flat). Later this scene is followed by the unique feature of the film, the dead’s letters. Gerry had prepared everything before his death so his wife received letters from him three weeks after his passing away. Gerry’s last sentences suggest things to do in order to help Holly to go on. E.g. Holly should go to karaoke bar with her friends or get rid of Gerry’s objects. These letters show Holly the right way how to carry on her life without Gerry and how to discover herself again.
In connection with the movie two questions came to my mind: is it the same situation with love if your love died or if your love deserted you? Because both mean that you lost an important person’s love and the chance to be around you. The other question is that wasn’t it cruel and morbid to Holly to get letters from her dead sweetheart?
I’m still seeking the answers.

Interesting things for me
I have always been interested in stuffs like déjá vu feeling, amnesia, insomnia or simply human sleeping. One thing that made me surprised was in listening and speaking seminar. I found out that another girl showed interest in déjá vu feeling and study of sleeping too. I was taken aback because I had also been planning to perform these themes but finally I chose Madame Tussaud’s life.
Anyway, déjá vu feeling can be described as an already seen or already experienced situation. Everybody can meet this kind of feeling that can last from 10 to 30 seconds. As I read déjá vu happens mainly to people between 15 and 25 years old. Other age group also realize it but as a person is getting older the frequency of this phenomenon is decreasing. The other strange thing I read and did not understand why it was important factor that people with higher income experience déjá vu more frequently. Besides, the more you travel the more probable you’ll feel it.
One of my personal experiences took place in a seminar, listening and speaking, when I felt for a long time that once I had been there, I had been sitting there sometime in the past. It was so weird feeling.
By the way, the girl I wrote about had said, in relation to sleeping, that 20% of the people dream in black and white. I have never seen a black and white picture in my dreams so far. But the other mentioned vision in dreams, that a person who is dreaming is falling, was dreamt by a lot of people around me as well as by me. A stressful kind of life, anxiety and sometimes circulatory disorder can cause this dream.
The relation between déjá vu and dreams maybe that some scientists say people feel déjá vu because they have already dreamt about that certain situation.
If so, can we predict our events of our life?

An Inconvenient Truth
Not long ago, the last Tuesday as usually I went to American Corner to watch a movie with my friends. Till we got there I believed that another movie would be presented but we were shown the An Inconvenient Truth. Before the start of the film a native English speaker teacher of University of Pécs performed the real problem of the world that was summarized in the movie: global warming.
The film by Al Gore represents the way our climate changes and has changed so far. Al Gore says the global warming and the things relates to it are not a political but a moral issue. He says that people should hold together and do something to prevent that can be prevented yet. So this film calls our attention to the approaching dangers.
For instance it made perceptible what would happen if the idea of sinking headlands referred to Florida and Shanghai or India. During the presentation pointed out that they would sink under water and lot of people would die I was shivering.
Another effect of the global warming on the world that shocked me was polar bears have not enough ice swimming on the water to climb on and rest after swimming a lot, so some of them drown.
Besides, there was an explanation what causes the global warming. The rays of the Sun are not allowed to leave after entering and warming up the Earth because of the harmful gases that we, human beings produce every day.
So I think the most desperate thing of all that the global warming exists due to US.

A little report about our ball :)
The ball for the first year students was on 21. November 2007. I assumed that everybody among my classmates had known this date but unfortunately not everyone was present. The students, who came, were expected to have that kind of clothes on that suit to the party (be properly dressed as the advertising poster said). The ball was held in the lecture room of the building of ÁOK.
When I arrived and stepped inside the hall I could admire the varieties of ball-gowns. Some girls were wearing princess-like evening dress but you could see that a few girls just put on a corset with formal trousers.
As for me I had a black dress on with silver patterns that almost reached my knees, so it was not too short and not too long. I think it was suitable to move, dance and be worn without any awkwardness and discomfort. There was only one thing that disturbed me: my high-heeled shoes. It was so demanding to dance overnight in them.
Anyway, a big beamer showed every sms that you could send to a telephone number was written on it. So this way anybody had the chance to send messages to anybody. I liked it when I saw a couple of words on the beamer: “Tika, tika, anglisztika”. I thought it was nice. But the loveliest thing of the night was that a compliment for me appeared on the beamer from my boyfriend. :)
